Who you are dealing with
This site is operated by PT. Thoba Vivida Mandiri, trading as Asik Travel. Business licence number 1104260050205. Enquiries are handled by the Asik Travel team, who answer for every destination site the company publishes.
What this site does and does not do
You can't book or pay on this site. There's no checkout. Everything here is an enquiry: you tell us what you are thinking about, and we reply by email with what is actually possible.
Sending an enquiry doesn't create a booking, doesn't reserve anything, and doesn't commit you to any payment. A trip exists only once we've confirmed the specifics with you in writing and you've agreed to them.
Prices
Prices shown are starting figures for planning. They depend on group size, dates, what is included and what is available at the time. The price that matters is the one we confirm to you in writing before you commit to anything.
Prices are shown in your language's usual currency, converted from Indonesian rupiah. The conversion is indicative. The confirmed price is the one that applies.
Accuracy of what you read here
We research what we publish and cite sources on pages that make factual claims. Where we can't verify something, we say so rather than guessing.
Even so, conditions change. Roads close, schedules move, fees are revised, and ceremonies happen when a family decides, not when a calendar says. Nothing on this site is a guarantee that a specific thing will be available, open or happening while you are there. Check anything that your plans depend on, and ask us if you are unsure.
Ceremonies
Torajan funeral ceremonies are private family events. They are not attractions, they do not run to a schedule, and attending one depends on a genuine invitation rather than a ticket.
We will not promise access to a ceremony, and we would treat any operator who does with suspicion. What we will do is tell you honestly what is likely during the period you are travelling, and what attending respectfully involves.
Your details
When you send an enquiry we store what you give us: your name, email address, any phone number you provide, and what you tell us about your plans. We use it to answer you and to arrange the trip if it goes ahead.
We don't sell it, and we don't pass it to anyone who isn't involved in arranging your trip. If you want your details removed, email us and we'll do it.
Photographs
Photographs on this site are published under licence or with permission, and attribution is shown where the licence requires it. If you think an image here is used incorrectly, tell us and we'll take it down while we check.
